How to turn one idea into your next three posts

Tanya as a young reader and orator

It's my birthday month and it's a big milestone: 55 🤯

I’ve been sharing a personal “Road to 55” series on my Facebook profile, and it’s been fun seeing the response. People have told me they look forward to the next installment. Some are going back to find the days they missed.

Here's one where I shared the story behind going to college at 16.

This got me thinking about something you can use in your business:

Give people something to follow.

A series gives your audience a familiar thread to pick up. And it gives you a place to start the next time you sit down to create.

You’re still bringing fresh ideas, but you don’t have to invent a whole new direction every time.

For your business, that could look like:

  • One question, every week. Answer something clients regularly ask before working with you.
  • One process, in parts. Walk through the steps that help someone get a result.
  • One mistake at a time. Explain a common misstep and what to do instead.

Choose something connected to the work you want to be hired for. If you sell a service, the questions people ask before buying can be a useful starting point.

Each installment can help someone understand how you think, what you know, and where your help fits.

That’s also the kind of content creation I’m building more support for inside Digital Authority Studio: helping you turn your expertise into something you can share consistently, with a clear connection to your business.

I’m building AI-supported video and branded image creation into that support, so you can turn ideas like these into content more easily, whether you want to create it yourself or get help bringing it to life.

For now, try this:

Think of a question you could answer from several angles. Give the series a simple name. Write down your first three installments.

You’ll have a starting point for your next three posts, and a reason for someone to come back.

What's Coming Up

Giving people a reason to come back matters in your community, too. On Thursday, September 17, I’ll be joining a panel on building thriving communities at Creator Commerce Live, a free online event hosted by ThriveCart for coaches, course creators, consultants, and online business owners.

We’ll talk about attracting the right people, keeping them engaged, and creating an experience that makes them want to stay.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern, and every session is recorded.
